Ares

This planet's atmosphere contains a high volume of iodine molecules which gives it it's purple cast as well as renders the surface uninhabitable. Beneath the thick clouds are a few sparse land masses surrounded by highly toxic oceans. Several robotic exploratory expeditions early in the settlement of the system quickly determined that this was a planet best left to itself.
