The oath listed in the Statement is taken (with slight modification to make it 'timely' for futuristic use) Declaration of Geneva ( adopted by the General Assembly of the World Medical Association at Geneva in 1948 and amended in 1968, 1984, 1994, 2005 and 2006. It is a declaration of physicians' dedication to the humanitarian goals of medicine, a declaration that was especially important in view of the medical crimes which had just been committed in Nazi Germany. The Declaration of Geneva was intended to update the Oath of Hippocrates, which was no longer suited to modern conditions.)
Nothing in the Medical area is intended to be 100% realistic, though I do hope that there is a certain level of realism in things. All in all it's meant to be fun, diverting and entertainment.

Addendums!
Setting-ie physical setting.
La Remedium encompasses the entirety of the Medical Staff/Facilities for Pharos and surrounds. Later, as time allows other areas/sub folders (maybe) could be brought online after some initial setup is done.
There are all in all about a dozen satellite areas of varying sizes from clinics (first aid stations) on different levels of the station. Staffed by a tech/medical droid in the interest of saving personnel. (ask about these, please, before just diving in)
There's a full-service facility on G.E and two on Lemnos including a trauma specialist. (again, please ask before diving in there, too, there are several SL's going in in different areas regarding these places and toe-stepping is to be avoided as much as possible.)
Staff & assignments:
The Chief Med. Officer (NPC at this exact point in time, though the string-puller can be found lurking here in La Remedium, sling a PM if there's a need for CMO interaction, please) assigns personnel as needed from one facility to another
Chief of Surgery (Trent)- in charge of all surgeons & trauma teams. PM if you need to touch base on all things surgical.
Chief of Nursing - name TBA - will direct all nursing staff and technicians.
A note on the facilities themselves: There are no dormitories perse on Pharos itself, though in the main facilities there is a crash-room for staff who have worked long shifts or the On-Call to catch a few z's or a quick bite to eat. Not meant as a long-term place to stay, think of it as a motel room. |

I do have to specify something in the Memo Posting...
The SL referenced was something started by security staff and thus there would have been an "Official" call logged.
If there wasn't, then you need to have a talk with however is handling dispatch...
If there are any further questions or concerns, I would appreciate being clued in as I started this. |

Actually, that reminder was not directed solely at yourself, your storyline or any one person in particular.
Granted, a certain circumstance DID act as a memory prod, but that wasn't the only thing.
I, too, would appreciate being kept in the loop on things rather than having them come out of left field and full of assumptions. |
