The Etonese have a long and colorful history involving no fewer than a dozen intra-system wars, sometimes fighting on both sides of the dispute. The culture of the Etonese stresses perfection, striving for the goal and always looking to achieve higher than the average.

Although they do not appear to be much of a threat with their diminutive stature and easy-going smile, a riled up Etonese is not a trifle to be ignored. Most Etonese have very little in the way of fear and often are over confident in their abilities and equipment.

Etonese have no psionic ability, except to block their minds from others. It is a natural-born trait that they can sometimes learn to control in order to allow their minds to be read. These individuals are few. Most rather like being able to sneak up on a telepath and say, "Boo!"
