This species originated on Elira. This planet is in the system Winamac.

The Elirans focused on the development of the mind and emotional control early in their history. It was only after a nearly devestating war that they learned to respect their abilities and to get along with others.

The Eliran have the ability to sense emotions and thoughts and can influence either if appropriately trained. The Eliran have a strict Code and do not arbitrarily use their abilities for personal use unless sanctioned. They will also not harm the untalented for any reason, including (at times) their own self-defense. Breaking the Code is punishable by death and is enforced by an arm of the Eliran government called "Oshedi"

There is a smaller faction of the population that does not try to hone their natural abilities but instead has turned their attention to animal husbandry. They have some of the finest known breeds for work, recreation or consumption.
